This 24 x24 piece is done with oil on canvas and then oil pastel applied on top. The edges are treated to be a continuation of the piece.
One of my favorite parts about this piece is all the color. I really wanted to layer color upon color to create contrast and texture. I used the malachite stone's rings and shapes as inspiration.
Since this is a "wild" art work, I would recommend placing it above a set of chairs in a living room or on a wall that is no more than 4'-5' wide. This would be a great piece for a home that has lots of neutrals and wants a little zing added to it!
