This 22 x 36 piece is done on archival 300lb. paper in ink with acrylic paint, watercolor and colored pencil.
This piece came from an image I saw of a swimming pool. It had a lot of reflections and ripples in it and I wanted to try to capture the movement of the water in this piece (in the color pink of course :) I painted the ripples, added the pink colored pencil and pink watercolor to define the depth of the ripples, then painted over them again. It was an experimental piece in my use of materials and subject matter.
This large abstract piece would look great in a bedroom over a bed, in an office by a bookcase or even in a dining room- especially if the dining room had pinks in the rug or the seat cushions.
