So, finding art is hard. And feeling like you can afford it, like it, and put it somewhere is sometimes even harder.
But what I really want to know is what do you want to know? I want to help you make the best decisions about the art you are purchasing (or want to purchase) and how to design around them. I want you to love where you live because you have unique pieces of art that really enhance your style and your life.
But I can't help you if I don't know what you need from me.
That's why I would be thrilled if you took this survey. Some of the questions may sound a little general and you might be thinking- who cares about this stuff? But I promise, the more I know about you, the more I can assist you in designing with art in mind. I've been working in the design industry for about 10 years now and I have a been an artist even longer. I can tell you that integrating the two isn't necessarily hard, but can be challenging when you like a lot of different art and your house is a mixture of things you bought, were given and pieces you found.
However if this is a proper introduction, I need to tell you more about me. (This will be brief...I'll tell you the longer story later this month)
After attending an art high school and going to college for interior design, I always thought you had to separate the two. I knew you could be a designer who used art work and I knew that I could make art, but I didn't see where they connected.
I realized that people who I knew (and some I didn't know) really loved art and appreciated it, but never fully committed to putting it in their homes. And I realized that all the hidden fears they had weren't that hard to solve because most of them revolved around the question "What kind of art do I get?" or "How does this fit with my stuff I have?". And those were design questions. Since I am an artist and a designer, I realized I could connect the dots and help people create even more meaningful places to live through art.
See- I told you it would be short.
And this is where you come in. I need you to tell me how I can help you. Your house and where you spend your time in usually has walls. And stressing over them isn't fun for anybody. I can promise that I will do my very best to answer your questions and help you over come the fear of putting art work up.
My passion is to help people understand how to incorporate and invest in quality art work so that they can fall in love with their in home and live in the beauty of art work for years to come.
